What to expect in my procedure when getting a Laser Gum Lift?
The whole treatment is completed very quickly with the appointment usually lasting between 30-40 mins.
During the appointment, Dr Cate will place a local anaesthetic and then use her laser to trim away the excess gum tissue. When using a laser there is no bleeding and you can get back to work almost immediately. The tissue is slightly darker for 24 hours and then will heal completely painlessly.
What results should I expect?
Areas that have received Gum-lift treatment should heal to normal appearance after 1-2 weeks. During that period they will naturally be a little bit sensitive, but overall you shouldn’t notice them too much.
